Try using the "Print as image" option in chrome - under "More settings".

Explanation: Many PDFs you download from the internet, particularly sites like teacherspayteachers, are badly formatted or contain invalid fonts which cause problems when you try to print. You can work around the problem by asking your computer to convert the print job into an image instead of depending on the printer to interpret the PDF elements.

Another possible problem is a very large file, in filesize or pages - try to split your print job up into smaller chunks if printing as image doesn't work.
